Hoy vamos a ver uno de los verbos modales más importantes: SHOULD / SHOULDN'T.
¿No sabéis lo que es un modal verb? Sí, sí que lo sabéis. De hecho, ya conocéis alguno. Por ejemplo, CAN es un modal verb.
Los verbos modales son aquellos verbos que siempre tienen que ir acompañados de otro verbo, no pueden ir acompañados de un nombre. For example:
I CAN COOK
Yo puedo cocinar
I CAN DO MY HOMEWORK
Yo puedo hacer mis deberes
(no tiene sentido)
Por eso SHOULD / SHOULDN'T, que significa DEBERÍA / NO DEBERÍA siempre tiene que ir acompañado de un verbo. For example:
HE SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION
Él debería prestar más atención
YOU SHOULDN'T GO OUTSIDE
No deberías ir afuera
